“A Time of Uncertainty” by Ann Vandervelde

Gallery Hours: Monday - Saturday 10am - 6pm, Sunday 11am - 5pm

“This new body of work is my attempt to frame what is true and certain in the spring of 2020 in my own life in contrast to what is an invisible reality outside. My desire for “normal” I now find walking shore beaches and wooded hills on an island in Northern Washington. What is so difficult at this moment is to know that we live with impermanence and unease. The lines, contours and colors of these new paintings are my efforts to offer the viewer feelings of lightness and joy or distant memories in a time of uncertainty.”
