Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Sarah Bales Losey is a painter, printmaker, and designer. She earned a double major BFA in Communication Design and Printmaking from Texas State University. After college, she embarked on diverse paths including graphic design, globetrotting as a flight attendant, and teaching visual art. Throughout these experiences, her passion for creating never waned. Only recently, however, inspired by the birth of her daughter, she made the decision to establish herself in the art world and pursue a career as a full-time artist.

Sarah’s artistic focus revolves around the meticulous exploration of color theory and precision in her technique. In her present portfolio, she primarily works with acrylic paints and hand-stretched canvases, with a dedicated emphasis on color. Each piece draws its inspiration from the mesmerizing interplay of light over various landscapes, capturing the raw essence and beauty of moments in time. Within this “Landform and Light Series”, she employs minimalistic abstract techniques to convey atmospheric perspective, creating a captivating depth of field. The canvases come alive with vibrancy, thanks to the subtle yet intricate transitions in color.
