Alice Benvie-Gebhart earned her bachelor and master's degrees in art education with concentrations in painting and printmaking. She worked as a teacher and painter for many years before discovering kiln-formed glass. She now works exclusively as a full time professional fused glass artist. Benvie-Gebhart is best known for her colorful fused glass landscapes and is represented by galleries across the country. Heritage Art Gallery and Glass Studio in East Greenwich, Rhode Island is her home base where she enjoys inspiration from her New England landscape. She shares her expertise by teaching fused glass classes nationwide.
